Firm’s Forensics team continues growth with new partner appointed
Forensics team bolstered with the appointment of a new partner, Alex Houston.
Alex’s specific area of focus will be in the disputes market within the context of litigation and commercial and international arbitration, acting as an expert advisor, witness or determinator.
Alongside Crowe’s growing Forensics Services team, Alex will work on matters such as minority shareholder disputes, breach of contract disputes, loss of profits, contentious valuations, and post-transaction disputes.
Alex will also enhance our firms already established Expert Witness services alongside Head of Forensic Services Martin Chapman, with a particular focus on the London market, crucial to ensuring a national presence for the firm in the world of disputes.
With a tumultuous economic backdrop, high interest rates and inflation, there is likely to be an increase in post-transaction disputes as parties look to recover value from deals. Elsewhere, evolving regulatory guidance in complex areas such as ESG will likely lead to a surge in disputes. Alex’s appointment to the team, as well as the recent promotion of Tim Robinson to partner, means the firm is more equipped than ever to support and guide its clients through challenging times.
