Crowe UK has committed to improving gender diversity by signing-up to the Women in Finance Charter.
Launched by HM Treasury in 2016 following a review into female representation in senior managerial roles within the financial services industry, the Women in Finance Charter works with organisations to support the progression of women into senior roles. Signatories commit to setting internal targets for greater diversity among their senior management teams and publish their progress each year against these objectives.
As a leading UK firm, Crowe recognises the importance of diversity among its people and is actively working to create an environment which is collaborative, supportive and promotes talent from across the whole firm. To enable this commitment Crowe launched its Women’s Empowerment Programme in 2017, led by Partner Rebecca Durrant, which supports women at every level of the firm, through mentoring programmes and networking events among other initiatives. As part of Crowe’s commitment to the Women in Finance Charter, the firm is actively working to have a balance of 30% women at partnership level by 31 March 2024.
Rebecca Durrant, Partner at Crowe, said: "At Crowe we are extremely proud of the work that we have done in recent years in supporting our people to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, is given the encouragement they need to achieve their ambitions. That said, we are not complacent and acknowledge that there is always more we can do, which is why we are proud to sign-up to the Women in Finance Charter. "Signing-up to the Women in Finance Charter is an important step in recognising and affirming our commitment to improving representation at every level of our firm. It also recognises the influential role that leading firms like ours can play in setting an example to the wider industry.” |
