The corporate finance team in the Midlands office of Crowe has supported The Human Network, the parent company of independent events agency Identity, on a second deal this year.

In July, corporate finance partner Andy Kay and corporate finance director Phoebe Turner at the national audit, tax, advisory and risk firm advised the directors of The Human Network, in the purchase of The Smyle group of companies – a collection of creative event and content agencies.

Along with associate director Jason Daft, they have now provided financial due diligence and tax due diligence support as The Human Network acquires Beyond Business Travel, based in Belfast and Dublin, for an undisclosed sum.

Kay said: "Beyond Business Travel delivers top tier travel management solutions for businesses across the UK and Ireland, and this acquisition is the culmination of a two-year project to transform the travel sector in the way The Human Network has done for the events industry.

"It was a great pleasure to work together again with fellow professional advisors and the team at The Human Network.

"We also wish Edel Doherty, CEO, and Shauna Burns, MD of Beyond Business Travel, much success with the next stage of their corporate journey in concert with The Human Network."

Beyond Business Travel manages all aspects of business travel on one platform, including sourcing, booking, negotiating, tracking travellers' spending, expense management and visas.

The Human Network has a combined team of more than 250 professionals and a presence in eight countries across EMEA and US.

Alongside Crowe's team, Socium Advisors provided financial advice and law firm Knights acted for The Human Network.

Beyond Business Travel was advised by Richard Moorehead at Raven with legal advice from Davidson McDonnell.
