Isaac Alfon joins Crowe from a boutique risk management consultancy, having amassed more than 20 years’ experience in industry and regulatory roles, including as Senior Policy Advisor at HM Treasury – where he worked on the development of the Solvency II regulatory requirements – and Senior Economist at the Financial Services Authority.
He brings a wealth of experience from working with insurers and wider financial services organisations, including start-ups. Isaac is focused on developing and implementing practical risk management strategies that add value while aligning with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
Most recently, Isaac has worked with several insurers advising on aspects of the net zero journey including strategy development, analysis of climate change transition risks in investments and delivering TCFD disclosures. He also brings experience as a non-executive director and Risk Committee member.
In his new role, Isaac will assist clients with their risk management and governance needs, with a particular focus on sustainability. With his extensive experience, Isaac is well placed to help clients work out how to integrate sustainable development and climate change risks and opportunities in their decision making.
He joins Crowe during a period of sustained growth for the Risk Consultancy practice, which has been recognised for three consecutive years as InsuranceERM’s Risk Consultancy of the Year. The team is dedicated to supporting businesses to: truly integrate climate and sustainability considerations into their businesses; master their data to deliver value; enhance their risk management and governance to optimise decision making; build resilience to enable them to react and respond to uncertainty; and deliver change and transformation successfully.
“I am delighted to be joining Crowe and working with such a talented group of people. The Risk Consulting team at Crowe takes a pragmatic and progressive approach which focuses on collaboration with clients, and this was one of the factors that attracted me to the firm.
“Boards and senior management teams must navigate a complex and evolving risk landscape. Sustainability and climate change are the most recent challenges from society and regulators, but they won’t be the last ones. I am passionate about helping businesses manage their risks effectively and embed risk considerations into their decision-making.”
“We continue to invest in top talent to support current and future clients and Isaac’s appointment reinforces this commitment to providing best-in-class advice at a crucial time for the financial services industry. Isaac’s arrival is also testament to the strong reputation Crowe enjoys in the insurance and financial services market. I look forward to the fresh insight and value Isaac will bring for clients, as we continue to help organisations build sustainable businesses that are well-placed to respond to and benefit from change and uncertainty.”
