Led by Cheltenham office Managing Partner Guy Biggin, Crowe has taken on the client portfolio and work in progress of the Gloucestershire-based accounting business, from boutique accounting practice Tayabali Tomlin.
Guy Biggin said: “We have acquired Accounting for Entrepreneurs as part of our commitment to entrepreneurial business and to boost our service offering to small and medium sized businesses. For clients it will mean increased support and resources to better serve their current and future needs, while having access to our full range of services and sector expertise.
“This deal represents a further investment by Crowe in technology and advisory solutions to meet client needs in a changing regulatory environment.”
A client service team of five has moved into Crowe’s Carrick House offices in Lypiatt Road, Cheltenham, to provide a seamless transfer.
Crowe is now offering Accounting for Entrepreneurs’ services from the Cheltenham office, providing a new secure, cloud-based, streamlined software solution for SMEs.
Biggin added: “Our current extensive in-house service offering is now augmented by further cloud-based software solutions.
“I believe in constant innovation and I am delighted to have achieved this exciting step forward, which will allow us to further enhance our offering to SMEs in the region and beyond. Our investment in the latest technology will meet the needs of modern, mobile entrepreneurs.”
Guy Biggin added that Crowe would continue to work with the business’s former owner Aynsley Damery to embed the new services.
Aynsley Damery said: “In a sense we took our own advice. Our business had matured to the point where it was neither big nor small. We needed to take the next step. This deal is about delivering for our clients through Crowe’s regional, national and international reach.”
Nigel Bostock, Chief Executive at Crowe, said: “In an increasingly entrepreneurial and global economy, clients and businesses expect and require support which is highly-innovative, highly-mobile and highly-digital. Many recognise that as the business environment changes, they need flexible services which help them to achieve their ambitions.
“Our acquisition of Accounting for Entrepreneurs will allow us to continue to meet our clients’ objectives through an enhanced technology-based offering, supported by the renowned Crowe brand. Accounting for Entrepreneurs’ clients will have access to our national and global network of over 35,000 professionals to enable them to achieve their goals wherever they choose to operate.”
Dale Williams of Cheltenham-based law firm BPE advised Crowe, and Tayabali Tomalin was advised by Jon Whitbread of Harrison Clark Rickerbys.
