We offer a choice of programmes for school leavers and graduates within a diverse range of industries and a variety of work and currently have over 440 trainees shaping their careers at Crowe.

Each programme offers a personalised training plan which will be provided to each trainee when they begin working with us. It outlines the training contract, dates spent at training providers, internal and external training, and exam dates.

What can you expect

Your story is not just about your credentials and professional background. Throughout the hiring process, we want to get to know your passions and interests so we can better understand who you are and if you're a good fit for us.

Where you begin

Whether you join us straight from college, or as a graduate, throughout your training programme you will work both on your own and as part of a team to deliver, dependant on the team you join, audit, accounting and advisory services to clients. Most of our trainees study to obtain the ACA qualification provided by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), while others follow more tax or business solutions focused pathways.

As a graduate, you should expect to qualify after three years, with our school leavers spreading their studies over 4-5 years. Once qualified, you will continue to build your career with us by specialising in a particular service area or perhaps taking an international secondment with a member firm in the Crowe Global network. However long you stay with us, you will have many career choices.

Entry requirements

If you have a genuine interest in accountancy and finance, an enquiring mind, enthusiasm to learn and strong communication skills and have the following qualifications, we'd like to meet you: an expected or achieved 2:2 or equivalent) BBC (or 112 UCAS points) from three A Levels (or equivalent) GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in Maths and English Language.

Your application will not be based on academic performance alone; you will be required to demonstrate the personal qualities which underpin our core values, which include personal drive, integrity and leadership. If you do not meet the entry requirements, it’s unlikely your application will be progressed. You may still be considered if the rest of your application is strong and have any extenuating circumstances that you are comfortable sharing, please let our recruitment team know and this will be looked at alongside your application.

Successful applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Assessment day

If you pass the online tests, you will be invited to an assessment centre in your chosen office location. On the assessment centre day, you will have the chance to meet a selection of our partners, find out more about us and the qualifications we offer. You will also have the opportunity to have lunch with some of our current trainees who will show you around the office and answer any questions you may have. You will be continuously assessed throughout the day on a number of tasks including a group task and an individual presentation that will need to be prepared in advance

Top tips for an assessment centre

Remember smart dress for a professional environment.
Plan your journey in advance and factor in any delays.
Practise your presentation so you know what you want to say.
Be prepared to answer questions and prepare your own.
Relax and try to enjoy the day!

Interview preparation

Following a successful assessment centre, you will be invited to an interview with one of our partners and a manager.

The interview is made up of competency-based questions, and can last up to an hour with a chance for questions at the end. Before you attend your interview, make sure you’re as prepared as you can be, use any knowledge gained from the assessment centre and take any given feedback onboard.

Top tips for an interview

Be yourself.
Do your research – especially for the role you have applied.
Bring examples of both professional and academic experiences.
Prepare a couple of questions for the end of the interview.
