Benedict has more than 15 years of experience in providing assurance, advisory and attestation services. Throughout his career, he serviced a number of listed companies and domestic enterprises. His broad range of clients includes water treatments, manufacturing, construction, education, food and beverage, chemicals, manufacturing, fund management and administrator, non-profit organisations and charitable groups, financial services, oil and gas companies, etc. Prior to joining Crowe, he had 3 years of experience in providing tax consultation to SMEs in Malaysia.

His experience includes:

  • Performing complex and investigative internal audit engagements, including ITGC reviews for Singapore-listed companies.
  • Performing high level risk assessment for the purpose of proposing auditable cycles and assisting client to identify key risk areas.
  • Leading teams in the internal audit and pre-IPO internal audit of companies in various industries, including the high-level risk assessment and benchmarking of policies and procedures with best practices.
  • Leading teams to conduct AML/CFT, data privacy and cybersecurity (including VA/PT, source code, and TRM reviews) reviews in MNCs, FIs and NPOs;Assisting clients’ on materiality analysis of sustainability issues relevant to organisational stakeholders and strategy, and preparing sustainability reports under global standards and frameworks and industry guidelines.
  • Providing FCPA support to a US-based MNC.
  • Performing SOX compliance audit.
  • Completed Intermediate IDEA Training certified by Case Ware IDEA Inc.

Benedict is a Member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Accounting degree, conferred by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia.
