Mr. Tony Hanash is the Head of the Corporate Finance Division of Crowe Horwath International in Riyadh office and has overall responsibility for the Corporate Finance function in Saudi Arabia. He joined the Global Corporate Finance division of Arthur Andersen & Co. in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1997 and became, in fact, one of the most important members of this division. As a result, he was assigned to the firm’s most lucrative clients, including some of the world’s most predominant investors.
In this capacity, Tony executed approximately $10 billion in M&A transactions, performed in the Middle East, Europe and the United States more than 40 Valuations, Acquisition Due Diligence, Buy-Sell Agreements, Corporate/Partnership/ Fractional Equity Interests, Joint Ventures, Industry Research and Studies, Mergers and Acquisitions, Ownership Disputes, Private Funding/Financing, Strategic Partnerships; Value Consulting of private, closely held businesses and emerging companies for many business transactions, Private Placement memoranda, Due Diligence, IPOs, Assets Securitization, Feasibility Studies, and Private Placements of Equity and Debt Financing. As a result, Tony worked tirelessly to deliver exceptional client service and in the process has developed strong leadership skills and a network of influential contacts throughout the Middle East.
His 10+ years of extensive experience in financial, investments and accounting environments encompasses diverse industries including, but not limited to Agriculture, Aviation, Banking and Financial Services, Edible oils, Educational services, Insurance, Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure, Food, Real Estate, Retailing, and Telecommunication.
Prior to joining Arthur Andersen, Tony’s work experience in the United States involved sales, marketing, consulting, stock and futures research and trading, accounting, and financial reporting with the likes of Merryll Lynch, Prudential Securities and other US corporations.
Tony has also a wide-ranging expertise in Financial Modeling, Forecasting, Risk Measurement and Management, Debt and Derivative Investments, Equity investments, Portfolio Management, Technical and Fundamental Analysis, Performance Measurement and Evaluation in addition to high skills in the use of various financial software and multi linguistic capabilities.
After receiving his BA in economic theory and minor in Business Administration from the American University in Washington D.C, and completing extensive advanced professional financial educational training in Europe, Tony undertook and successfully completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and became member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) in Charlottesville, VA, USA.
