RFGCO, marking 40 years with enhanced services and partnerships, thrives on integrity, client relationships, and a global network.
Celebrating four decades of excellence, Ramon F. Garcia & Company, CPAs (RFGCO) stands as a strong player in the accounting and finance services field, gaining the trust of many businesses that depend on its reliable services.

With an outstanding international network as its partner in the business, RFGCO continues its commitment to provide uncompromised service and strengthened relationships with clients.

Ramon F. Garcia, RFGCO’s founder and managing partner, cited several factors that have helped the firm grow through the past decades as well as endure a very challenging year due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Mr. Garcia noted that the firm makes sure clients are delighted both in how and what it delivers to them, being responsive to their concerns and giving them quality deliverables and advice.

He also stressed the relationships RFGCO builds with clients, saying that relationships are a greater concern for the firm rather than the pecuniary benefits of such partnerships.

“Long-term relationship is far more important to us than the professional fees we will earn,” Mr. Garcia said in an e-mail. “Most of the time, we resolve conflicts in the relationship with our clients, particularly with our staff, in favor of our clients (for as long as we don’t violate ethical standards). As a result of this, we grow with our clients and they become our best advertisers as they refer more clients to us.”

This priority on partnerships was further shown during the pandemic, which greatly challenged businesses and firms alike.

“Many of [our clients] suffered severe decline in revenues and profits. To alleviate their burden, we reduced our fees, and for those who have cash flow problems we make their burden light by extending or giving them longer time to pay. We also assist them through proper advice in handling financial problems to cope with the pandemic,” Mr. Garcia shared.

The managing partner also takes pride in the firm’s remarkable technical capabilities, utmost care for its staff, and time-tested integrity.

“You can prosper with technical abilities, but it is character and integrity that will sustain this prosperity and success,” Mr. Garcia said. “The firm’s character and integrity resulted in our client’s full trust and confidence in every engagement that we’re assigned. It is the same trust and confidence when they refer to us clients; knowing that their friends and colleagues will thank them for referring us to them.”

Mr. Garcia also credits the firm’s success to the guidance and blessings of God through Jesus Christ. “Without Him, we can do nothing. We are just but a channel of blessings to people,” he said.

STRONG PARTNERSHIP

Further driving RFGCO’s steady progress in their fields of expertise is its long-running partnership with Crowe Global, a leading international network of separate and independent accounting and consulting firms.

“Crowe Global is a strategic fit to RFGCO. Crowe’s core values of caring, sharing and growing are also embraced by our firm,” Mr. Garcia said. “On top of this, the reputation of Crowe Global firms is impeccable both on integrity and technical capabilities. Having an international network that is ranked within the top 10 biggest firms worldwide adds credibility and boost our firm’s reputation.”

The managing partner also observed that Crowe’s member firms, particularly in developed countries, refer a lot of multinational clients to RFGCO, driving not only financial gains but also enriched experiences and technical capabilities for the firm.

Moreover, the firm’s outsourced and advisory services have recently been rebranded under the Crowe Philippines brand.

“We believe that the rebranding will open a lot of engagements with multinational companies who wish to outsource non-core activities to reliable third-party professionals,” Mr. Garcia said. “The international brand ‘Crowe’ will give more confidence to our international partners to give more referrals to us.”

Clients can expect a seamless delivery of quality service which could not only be at par with the Crowe Global standards but possibly better, the managing partner added.

Adding to these enhanced services, RFGCO welcomes the entry of Ailene B. Valenzuela and Christopher C. Alcantara, two new partners who “will give the firm fresh blood and will add more dynamism to the firm.” Both Ateneo MBA graduates, the new partners are expected to enhance quality control management in the firm.

“Their additions will pave the way for the engagements of bigger clients and more international engagements,” Mr. Garcia said.

With these developments within the firm, the managing partner is optimistic about the firm’s growth in succeeding years.

“We expect a double-digit growth for 2021 as there are several big clients that switched audit engagement from big firms to us in order to save on costs without compromising quality,” Mr. Garcia said.

“A small client to big firms are ordinary to them. But to us, they become special,” he added.
