Tourism is already a major industry in Oman, as outlined by a recent report by Tanfeedh’s ISFU, with plans to increase its contribution to the nation’s GDP to OMR1.5 billion by 2020. The contribution of travel and tourism to GDP in 2017 was OMR849.5 million, or 3.2 per cent of total GDP, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council’s annual report in 2018. A single-entry visa is issued at the point of entry and is valid for one month. There is also an express visa, a multiple entry visa and a common visa with Dubai and Qatar, and GCC resident visa.
