He's a resident IFRS expert, having completed 100+ implementations of IFRS 9, 15, and 16 across diverse industries. James excels in IFRS and US GAAP training, serving as an IFRS Consultant at Ernst & Young (India) and former Regional Director (Middle East) at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in Dubai. A Fellow Member of ICAI, James contributes to professional journals and conducts training sessions, holding qualifications including FCA, CPA, Cert IFRS, and M.Com.
Director - Tax Compliance
Taysir brings over 20 years of expertise in audit, tax, finance, and accounting, having served as In-charge Director of Tax Compliance at Oman’s Tax Authorities prior to joining Crowe. His leadership was pivotal in shaping legislation for Income Tax, Excise, and VAT laws, and he played a key role in developing new Excise and VAT systems in Oman. Taysir specializes in VAT implementation for TMS and provides comprehensive tax advisory services, including Withholding Tax and excise duties. Actively engaged in promoting awareness of upcoming VAT regulations, he conducts training workshops and holds affiliations with the Vocational Training Institute and Industrial Technical College, Nizwa. His client base spans diverse sectors such as trading, manufacturing, construction, automotive, hospitality, government, and oil & gas.
A post graduate in commerce and a qualified chartered accountant with a post qualification experience of around 14 years in accounting and tax practice.She is an expert in Oman tax law and international taxation. She also has a good knowledge of the legal, statutory and business environment of Oman.

Aastha, a Chartered Accountant with over 11 years of experience in audit, finance, and accounting, has held various roles within the firm, gaining extensive exposure across diverse industries. She specializes in leading major audit assignments and has transitioned to spearheading the development of VAT practices in her region. Aastha's professional background includes conducting external audits for companies in sectors such as trading, hotels, mining, manufacturing, and government. She actively promotes awareness of upcoming VAT regulations through intensive marketing efforts and delivers training workshops. Aastha has served as the Past Chairperson of the Muscat Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and focuses on client sectors including financial services, manufacturing, oil & gas, automotive, and construction. Her educational credentials include a Chartered Accountancy certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Institute of Productivity and Management, a Diploma in IFRS from ACCA, and a Bachelor's in Commerce from Kanpur University.
