Crowe introduces Crowe Physician Links

CHICAGO, Ill. (Aug. 21, 2013) - Crowe Horwath LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the U.S., has introduced Crowe Physician Links, a patent-pending software application that helps healthcare organizations capture, document and report provider time more efficiently. Since even small discrepancies in reported time can result in significant losses in Medicare or Medicaid reimbursements for a healthcare organization, Crowe Physician Links helps make time studies more effective and accurate.

Crowe Physician Links runs on smart phones, tablets, laptops and personal computers, allowing physicians, transplant nurses and other providers to enter and track their time from almost anywhere. By automating time studies, the application provides a way for any size healthcare organization or health system to link physician, finance and compliance activities.

According to Brian Sanderson, managing partner of Crowe Healthcare Services, time studies are an important component of a healthcare organization's annual cost report, which is submitted to Medicare and Medicaid to receive various reimbursements. "Time studies have typically been done manually, which can often result in under-reporting or data-entry errors," Sanderson said.
