CHICAGO (March 3, 2017) – Crowe Horwath LLP, one of the largest public accounting, consulting and technology firms in the U.S., has moved its downtown office to 135 N. Pennsylvania St. The new office space boasts a loft-style feel with tall ceilings and windows, modern furniture and lighting, and interesting architectural features. With another location on the north side of the city, Crowe has more than 350 full-time personnel serving the Indianapolis area.

With this move comes a different office space design for the firm. Crowe instituted a mobility strategy, allowing personnel to work where they’re most productive and introducing a more casual dress code. As part of this shift to a more mobile workforce, all of the new Indianapolis office is free access space. This allows people who come into the office to choose from a range of different seating types and work areas, such collaboration technology spaces, video conferencing, sit-to-stand and standing workstations, private enclaves for team meetings and lockers for daily storage. The café space is set up with barstool seating, snacks, coffee and other beverages.

Additionally, the new location was attractive to office personnel because the building has free fitness and conference centers, a tenant lounge, attached parking, an outdoor patio opening in 2018 and is within walking distance of many downtown restaurants.

“Crowe is committed to the city of Indianapolis,” said Ann Lathrop, office managing partner of the Indianapolis offices. “It was important to us to keep our downtown presence and remain near our clients.”

The building is owned by Cip 2014/Hc North Penn Owner LLC. The commercial broker for Crowe was Jones Lang LaSalle.
