CHICAGO (Dec. 2, 2022) – Crowe LLP, a leading public accounting, consulting and technology firm in the U.S. with offices around the world, today announced Aaron Reyes will represent the firm as part of the CEO Action for Racial Equity (CEOARE) Fellowship, one of the largest business-led initiatives focused on advancing racial equity through public policy at the federal, state and local levels. Reyes, a managing director in advisory services at Crowe, will serve as a CEOARE fellow for one year, beginning Jan. 1, 2023.

CEOARE unites talent from more than 100 organizations, including Crowe, and provides an established infrastructure and expansive resources for corporate America to engage with societal issues. Partnering with nonprofit organizations, academics, community leaders and decision-makers, CEOARE fellows work alongside business leaders from across industries and regions to address societal systemic racism and social injustice while improving societal well-being.

“When we see obvious disparities in our communities, we need more than words – we need action. Crowe stands behind CEO Action for Racial Equity, and we’re committed to providing the resources to help it achieve its mission,” said Mark Baer, CEO of Crowe. “Aaron has a track record of shaping a better tomorrow for others through his mentoring and advocacy, and I am confident he will contribute greatly to the fellowship’s goal of breaking the cycle of systemic racism.”

Since joining Crowe in 2011, Reyes has been committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts within the firm and the broader profession. Reyes serves as co-lead of Crowe’s Latino business resource group. He is also actively involved with the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) and is the founding member and president of the Greater Sacramento ALPFA chapter.

“Crowe shares my passion for promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in our workplace and communities, so I am proud to represent the firm as a CEO Action for Racial Equity fellow,” said Reyes. “I believe the business community can play a critical role in helping drive systemic change, so I look forward to working with leaders from various organizations to help advance solutions that can address widening disparities countrywide.”

CEOARE fellows focus their efforts on four platforms that are vital to advancing equity and well-being for the Black community: economic empowerment, education and opportunity, healthy communities, and public safety.
