Listing on the stock exchange via an IPO (Initial Public Offering) is the aspiration of many companies. It represents an opportunity for them to be better recognised in the market, to tap on investors' funds and to springboard to greater heights.
Bursa Malaysia offers a choice of three markets for companies seeking for listing in Malaysia – LEAP, ACE and Main Market. Perhaps spoilt for choice, IPO candidates are confused as to which market is most suitable for them. Contrary to expectations, large companies may not opt for the Main Market but instead list on the ACE market. Companies with little or no track record may also wonder whether they qualify to be listed on the LEAP or ACE markets which technically, do not require any profit track record.
All of these intriguing questions will be answered by our panel of experts who will share with you from their personal experience and from research into successful IPO candidates as to what drives their decisions and what matters most to them in an IPO.
