The Crowe Horwath 2017 Asia Pacific Regional Meeting was held in Melbourne, Australia from 20 to 22 April.
The meeting brought together over a hundred partners, directors and leaders of Crowe Horwath member firms, representing 19 countries across the Asia Pacific region. It served as an effective channel for gathering insights for business strategies and networking with key business associates and clients.
Highlights of the meeting included introduction of the brand’s various new technology strategies. To cope with market developments, Crowe Horwath will increase the use of internet, social media and other technologies to enhance the brand. During the meeting, the new website campaign was introduced. Participants also discussed on the latest digital and social media strategies, as well as new technology to drive work efficiency.
Besides, the leaders of specialties of audit and assurance, tax, succession planning and risk held their respective breakout sessions to discuss the latest professional standards, market developments and business strategies relating to their services. The breakout sessions helped the participants to grasp client needs and service trend. Some of the topics included the International Audit & Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) Standard Setting Agenda, potential impacts of US Tax Reform on Asia Pacific, new base erosion profit shifting related services, ownership and governance structure of accounting firms etc.
A business networking cocktail was also held and clients were invited, providing an excellent opportunity for the member firms’ delegates and clients to exchange ideas and share experience with each other in a pleasant atmosphere.
