Diana Maguto is Crowe Infrastructure Africa’s Legal
and Compliance Officer and based at the firm’s headquarters in Nairobi.
Diana has extensive
experience gained in almost 10 years of legal practice while working
with various leading law firms in Kenya and a prime real estate and affordable
housing developer in the country. In the course of her professional career,
Diana has been drafting contracts and agreements in a multitude of business
contexts and jurisdictions, been intensively involved in public procurement and
government-related cases for private clients, has extensively advised clients
on regulatory compliance issues as well as matters of internal quality control.
She is experienced in assisting and preparing board of directors’ meetings and
acting as a legal counsel on corporate governance policies.
Diana’s specific experience
covers a wide range of commercial transactions in, among others, taxation,
contracts and agreements, public procurement policies and legislation,
corporate governance, regulatory compliance, employment law, intellectual
property, legal due diligence, legal drafting, capital markets policies,
mergers and acquisitions, and conveyancing projects.
Diana’s role as the firm’s Legal and Compliance
Officer is to advise and assist senior management in quality control and
regulatory compliance, draft contracts and agreements, to provide guidance on legal
due diligence and legal and regulatory issues surrounding infrastructure
projects, and to assist and prepare board of directors’ meetings and management
reports.
