Crowe Ireland is delighted to announce that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices. By signing up to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, Crowe is committing to protecting the long-term sustainability of the firm’s business, and that of our clients. Crowe will strive to incorporate these principles to our strategy, culture and day-to-day practices, and to further the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This commitment is an initiative of Crowe’s ESG Centre of Excellence, which is working both to provide consistent and sector-leading service to our clients in undertaking their ESG journey and to demonstrate our firm’s commitment to sustainable business practices.
The ten principles of the UN Global Compact are as follows:
Human Rights
Labour
Environment
Anti-Corruption
Shane McQuillan, consulting partner of the firm and chair of the ESG Centre of Excellence, said: “I am delighted that Crowe has joined the UN Global Compact, giving us the opportunity to show our commitment to responsible business practices and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”
Roseanna O’Hanlon, audit partner and member of the ESG Centre of Excellence said: “Gaining membership of the UN Global Compact makes our commitment to responsible business visible and tangible. I look forward to promoting the ten principles in our work both internally and with our clients.”
Naoise Cosgrove, managing partner said to the news: “Crowe is committed to prioritising the long-term sustainability of the world in which we work, and in ensuring that our people are valued, that ours is a safe and thriving place to work, and where promotion of globally recognised human rights underpins the way we do business.”
