London called, Louise answered!

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to visit our Crowe UK colleagues in London. I spent a week working in London office, which is just in front of St Paul’s Cathedral in Central London.

My time there was mostly spent with the Workforce Advisory team who specialise in global mobility, employment taxes, and share schemes. I already knew most of the people on the team through emails and video calls over the years, so it was great to finally meet them all in person. We have a number of mutual global mobility clients with Crowe UK, so while I was there, I had the chance to attend a few in-person and online meetings with our clients along with UK team, which everyone found really beneficial. During the week there, I gave a presentation to the UK team on Crowe Ireland and what we do in the tax department, and it was really interesting to see the differences in how our teams operate.

The weather was much better than it was in Ireland for the week that I was there, so I did plenty of walking around London. I got to go and see two shows on the West End, I met up with friends of mine that live there, and the team in Crowe UK organised drinks with me on the Thursday night after work which was a great opportunity to get to know everyone, and also to say goodbye!

Crowe UK will be sending Jordan Tigg on a mini secondment to us next month. He will be sitting with the tax department for the week commencing 21 October and we are looking forward to having him.
