Crowe present at N-TUTORR showcase

Earlier this year, Crowe was commissioned by IADT to scope the feasibility of a Shared Media Production Hub reflecting industry needs, academic requirements, costs, and preliminary options analysis as part of the N-TUTORR programme. The National Technological University Transformation for Resilience and Recovery (N-TUTORR) programme is an EU Commission-funded initiative coordinated between seven educational partners: ATU, DkIT, IADT, MTU, SETU, TU Dublin and TUS, with support from the Technical Higher Education Association (THEA) and the Higher Education Authority (HEA).

Crowe was represented at the National Convention Centre on Tuesday as part of the N-TUTORR Showcase by Daniel Noble Stairs and Clodagh O’Brien, who presented their report on the potential for a Shared Media Production Hub for the Technical University sector. The presentation was followed by a fascinating panel moderated by Rónán Ó Muirthile, Head of Faculty, Film Art and Creative Technologies, IADT.

Panel members included:

The panel discussion was an expert discussion on the audiovisual sector, evolving and emerging technologies, education and skills development, innovation in learning methods, links with policy and with industry and the role that a shared media production facility could have in developing the skills and talent needed by a competitive audiovisual sector. It was a valuable opportunity to raise Crowe’s profile in a rapidly evolving space and network with senior stakeholders from industry, academia and government.

In a testament to our long-standing engagement with the sector, our previous work on a Strategy for the Development of Skills for the Audiovisual Industry in 2017 (for the then Irish Film Board and Broadcast Authority of Ireland) was referenced positively, underlining our reputation as a firm that can be trusted to deliver long-term value for our clients.
