Dublin Gallery Weekend, presented by the Contemporary Art Gallery Association, is an annual event that is free to attend and open to all. Taking place from 8–11 November 2024, it aims to celebrate Dublin’s contemporary art scene, showcasing the capital’s vibrant galleries through exhibitions, guided tours and programmed events.
Dublin Gallery Weekend is the flagship initiative of the Contemporary Art Gallery Association, a group of eleven of Ireland’s leading commercial art galleries. The galleries will host a specially curated programme of exhibitions by renowned Irish and international artists, as well as family-friendly art-related events including artists' talks, panel discussions, guided tours, late openings, and much more.
Featured artists include the pioneering Egyptian feminist Nil Yalter, who won a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 2024 Venice Biennale, showing at Green On Red Gallery. One of Ireland’s most celebrated living sculptors, John Behan, will present new work in bronze at Solomon Gallery, while Irish contemporary artist Nevan Lahart presents new work at Kevin Kavanagh Gallery. Hillsboro Fine Art will present its first solo exhibition by the renowned Irish painter Eithne Jordan, while Kerlin Gallery presents the first exhibition in Ireland by Justin Fitzpatrick, a young Dubliner based in France and with a growing international reputation. Taylor Galleries will also offer a rare opportunity to experience the highlights of this year’s exhibitions all at one time, including Makiko Nakamura, Patricia Burns, Brian Bourke, Michael Kane and many more.
Speaking at the announcement, Crowe’s Managing Partner, Naoise Cosgrove, said “At Crowe, we believe that art plays a vital role in connecting communities.
