About the Role – Finance Manager
Our Finance Manager reports into our Finance Director and Finance Partner.
They will also work closely with our Managing Partner and members of our Management Board to ensure we achieve our strategic goals.
The Finance Manager supports the Finance Director and the senior leadership team in providing strong, efficient and effective financial management and control of the firm’s finances. You will be responsible for assisting the Finance Director in maintaining the firm’s financial health and driving long-term sustainable growth.

What will you do?
Financial Management
- Managing and implementing the financial management system and system of internal financial control.
- Provision of timely financial management information and reports to senior management.
- Monitoring and management of business and financial performance.
- Proactively manage the firm’s working capital investment, including timesheets, WIP, billing and debt collection.
- Prudent management and monitoring of cash flow on an ongoing basis.
- Assisting the Finance Director with the preparation of financially sound budgets and forecasts.
- Preparation of relevant accounts/management accounts.
Compliance
- Oversee the month-end financial close process and ensure compliance with monthly reporting frameworks.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all taxes (such as payroll taxes, professional service withholding taxes, VAT and corporation taxes) as well as other regulatory payments and returns (e.g. CRO, Insurance, Professional Standards and Crowe Global).
- Ensuring client monies are reconciled and maintained in compliance with Client monies regulations.
- Oversee client onboarding process and ensure all AML regulatory requirements are met as part of this process.
Advisory & Insight
- Proactively provide financial advice, business insight, guidance and recommendations to the Management Board, partners and other key decision makers.
- Keep abreast with the market, client, technical developments and associate bodies activities to ensure firm’s activities are aligned and provide insight to the Management Board as required.
Future-Proofing the Firm
- Identifying and supporting the drive for process and performance improvement within the firm and business units.
- Identify efficiencies to bring to relevant firm processes.
- Proactively participate in the department and firm strategy.
Leadership & Relationship Building
- Overseeing cost management, staff expenses, procurement and accounts payable.
- Leading and/or contributing to a wide variety of projects and initiatives as required.
- Support in managing, mentoring and motivating the finance team (accounts assistant and credit controller) in delivering high-quality and timely support to the business.
- Manage relationships with funders, suppliers and other parties.
What can you bring to the role?
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified
- Experience:
- A minimum of two years post-qualification experience in either practice or a similar role in industry;
- Experience in Financial Statement preparation;
- Data/trend analysis skills or experience in including the creation of dashboards on Tableau/Power BI desirable;
- Experience of IRIS Star practice management desirable but not essential;
- Experience of MS Dynamics Nav desirable but not essential;
- Expertise:
- Proven ability to work in a team orientated environment focusing on collaboration and engagement while also having self-starter skills and the initiative to work on your own;
- Proven management skills and experience with a love of managing a wide range of multiple tasks/projects at any one time;
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail;
- High degree of analytical and problem solving ability;
- Proactive and driven to achieve solutions on matters as required;
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to manage relationships and engage with multiple demands on your time.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Right to Work in Republic of Ireland
