The Role

This role will be based in the Audit department in our Dublin office on a hybrid working model.

  • Lead and Manage Audits: Assist in managing audit assignments across various industries, ensuring all projects are well-planned, and support teams by providing clear guidance on the specific risks and challenges.
  • Deliver High-Quality Reports: Draft and review financial statements and audit reports with practical, actionable recommendations that address risks and control weaknesses, backed by solid reasoning.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of audit clients: Assist in managing multiple concurrent audit assignments, ensuring effective time and resource management to meet deadlines while maintaining the quality of deliverables.
  • Client Collaboration: Build strong, effective relationships with client teams across departments, making the audit process seamless and adding value to their business.
  • Partner Communication: Regularly update the Partner on significant issues, risks, and progress of audit assignments, ensuring key information is communicated and any potential concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Quality Delivery: Contribute to the execution of audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (such as FRS102, Irish GAAP, IFRS), addressing key risks, and adhering to budgets and timelines.
  • Mentor Junior Staff: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members, helping them grow professionally while maintaining high performance on audit tasks.

About you

  • ACA, ACCA, or Equivalent Qualification: Fully qualified with at least 2 years of practical experience post qualification in Republic of Ireland or UK
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS102, and CA2014, with the ability to apply this in developing audit strategies and delivering exceptional results. IFRS and consolidation experience preferred.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on client needs and audit quality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present findings effectively.
  • Hands-on Experience: Demonstrated experience working with a variety of clients across sectors and an understanding of audit-related risk management.
  • Right to Work Full-Time in Republic of Ireland
  • Experience in using CaseWare would be advantageous but not essential.
