I joined Crowe over seven years ago as a senior in the tax department. My career actually began in a pensions company, where I had some exposure to tax. That initial experience sparked my interest, leading me to pursue the AITI tax exams. Once I qualified, I knew I wanted to focus my career in the tax field.

A friend of mine worked in Crowe at the time and mentioned a position was available. She was a huge advocate for what a special place Crowe was to work in. She explained the working philosophy of Crowe and the great people at the firm. She was absolutely right. I believe what sets Crowe apart from its competitors is the people. Everyone is approachable, friendly and supportive. You can feel the positive energy and atmosphere the moment you walk into the office.

Another aspect that makes Crowe stand out is the clear opportunities for growth and leadership. Partners are genuinely supportive of your ambitions, no matter where you see your career heading. During the seven years I’ve been working here, I’ve been promoted from Tax Senior all the way up to Associate Tax Director.

I particularly appreciate Crowe’s flexibility when it comes to work. I have a little boy and sometimes need to leave work at short notice or need to start/finish work at different times. The hybrid model working arrangements in Crowe make it easy to strike the right balance between work and personal life. Crowe actively promotes a work/life balance and facilitates this every day whether it relates to studying, personal development, family life, social life, hobbies etc.
