My journey with Crowe began in August 2022 when I joined the corporate finance department as a trainee.
During my interview, the firm’s culture, opportunities for growth and the relaxed atmosphere really stood out to me, especially in comparison to other firms. It was clear that Crowe fosters a friendly environment where people can truly be themselves. This, combined with the firm’s strong commitment to career progression—particularly for trainees—made it an easy choice for me.
When I first started, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. My main focus was on passing my accounting exams, but I quickly realised that Crowe had so much more to offer. The firm gave me the chance to broaden my knowledge across different areas, helping me become a more well-rounded professional.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about triathlons. I participate in 8-10 races each year across Ireland and Europe. Training for three different sports is demanding, so Crowe’s flexible work policy has been invaluable. They’ve allowed me to adjust my hours to fit in my training, which has made balancing my personal and professional commitments much easier.
Since joining, I’ve taken on more responsibilities, including leading client calls and helping to train new staff members. Crowe provides trainees with ample opportunities to grow, which has enabled me to develop more rapidly than I anticipated. The firm is also highly supportive of our studies, encouraging us to attend all necessary lectures and providing study leave when needed.
Another aspect of Crowe that resonates with me is the firm’s commitment to giving back. Our strong partnership with Barnardos Ireland involves most of the staff in fundraising and community activities, offering a meaningful way to contribute to the community.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue my growth at Crowe. The hybrid work model is a great fit for me, and the social events have allowed me to connect with colleagues from other teams. Overall, Crowe’s supportive culture has had a significant impact on both my personal and professional life.
