Learning & Development: further education and professional qualifications

As part of our Graduate Programme, Crowe will offer you a trainee contract for the duration of 3–3.5 years alongside a fully sponsored professional qualification. We will commit to supporting your professional development from a technical, commercial and personal perspective. That will include:

  • Training from Day 1! You will join a structured induction that will introduce you to Crowe’s culture and some important technical knowledge essential to prepare you for your initial projects.
  • Audit and Corporate Finance trainees will have the option to choose between two fully sponsored accounting qualifications: ACA (Chartered Accountants Ireland) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
  • Tax trainees will complete a fully sponsored Chartered Tax Advisory (CTA) qualification in addition to the accounting qualification. For the accounting qualification, Tax trainees will also have the option to choose between two fully sponsored accounting qualifications: ACA (Chartered Accountants Ireland) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
  • Consulting trainees will have the option to choose between accounting qualifications or pursuing a Certified Internal Auditor qualification depending on the offering: ACA (Chartered Accountants Ireland) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
  • Throughout your contract you will receive continuous training, mentoring and coaching from management and experienced colleagues.

Accounting qualifications (ACA)

Crowe trainees can choose between two fully sponsored accounting qualifications. One of them is Chartered Accountants Ireland (ACA). The ACA qualification are three sets of professional exams: CAP 1, CAP 2 and Final Admittance Exam (FAE).

You will have up to 3.5 years to successfully complete your examinations and get the necessary practical experience. Crowe is a recognized training organisation, and our mentors will supervise your work and support your development throughout your contract.

This qualification will set you up for success through generous study leave, classes and tutorials, mock examinations, on-demand materials, and more:

  • All fees (registration, examination, etc.) are paid by Crowe
  • Study leave and exam leave
  • Mentoring available by an experienced qualified accountant
  • Gain experience and develop competencies in practice dealing with clients and carrying out meaningful and relevant work

Accounting qualifications (ACCA)

Crowe trainees can choose between two fully sponsored accounting qualifications. One of them is Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). This international qualification comprises 13 exams and practical experience.

You will have up to 3.5 years to successfully complete your examinations and get the necessary practical experience.

This qualification will set you up for success through generous study leave, classes and tutorials, mock examinations, on-demand materials, and more:

Career progression

Here you are in control of your journey. Crowe offers an accelerated career progression to all our graduates that is in line with your accounting qualification performance. In Year 1 you will start as a trainee and will progress annually as you progress in your examinations (ACA or ACCA).

As you progress through your training contract you will take up more responsibilities, deal with more complex clients and you will be responsible for coaching more junior team members and organizing assignments.

Application process

Our application process is very simple.

  1. Online application: fill out our application form with some relevant questions allowing us to get to know you. Do not forget to attach a CV!
  2. A member of our team will reach out and you will be required to submit your transcripts.
  3. If you meet all minimum requirements, you will be invited to complete an online assessment. You will have 48 hours to complete it. Don’t worry! It's a psychometric assessment and helps us to get to know your working style better.
  4. Interview! There's a one-stage only interview with two members of our team. This is an in-person interview, and you will have the opportunity to meet us, some of your future colleagues if you're successful, and visit our super cool office by the Grand Canal in the heart of Dublin.

Requirements for application

Applications are encouraged from all academic disciplines, including but not limited to accounting, business, finance, law and maths. Other requirements include:

  • Achieved or currently on target for a 2.2 honours degree or higher
  • Have graduated or on track to graduate in 2025
  • Right to work full time in the Republic of Ireland
  • Problem-solving ability alongside high attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Relevant work experience is a differential, e.g., internship, summer positions, school jobs, etc.
