Shane is a partner in the firm’s advisory department. He leads the consulting services team at Crowe in Ireland, and has 27 years’ consultancy experience. Shane’s principal area of expertise is the management of change, particularly in the development and implementation of recommendations leading to a sharper business focus, with enhanced efficiency, effectiveness and economy.
Public sector
In recent years, Shane has led a number of major evaluations, service reviews, and strategic planning projects for Government Departments and agencies, health and social care organisations, regulatory bodies and other public sector clients, having worked extensively in the public sector throughout his consulting career. Shane is vastly experienced in dealing with both policy and operational aspects of public service provision, and well-versed in the implementation of public service reform.
Not-for-profit sector
Shane has a considerable body of experience of assisting not-for-profit and faith-based organisations with the design, delivery and evaluation of their strategic, business and corporate plans, including dealing with challenging issues in the fields of finance and governance. Shane has also worked on assignments evaluating and reviewing not-for-profit organisations on behalf of Government and other funders.
Commercial sector
Shane has worked with a variety of clients in the private sector on reviewing their service delivery mechanisms, financial models, sales and marketing strategies, and organisational structures, including major banks, construction firms, multinational IT systems suppliers, retailers, and others.
Living in Co. Clare, I am 25 minutes from Lahinch and the Wild Atlantic Way and another half hour from the Burren. The train service from Limerick to Dublin is basically a mobile office for me where I can get work done without the stress of Dublin traffic.
