Helena is a director within the audit department. A fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, she has considerable accounting and auditing experience managing a wide range of clients across several sectors including the cinema industry, retail, hospitality, property management, and a notable involvement in the not-for-profit sector since her move to Crowe.
Helena joined Phelan Prescott + Co. in 1982, where she provided audit, accountancy, tax and general business advice whilst also engaged in Revenue audits and forensic accounting work in family law cases. She remained with Phelan Prescott + Co. until she joined Crowe in January 2017, following a merger of the two firms.
Helena enjoys a strong personal engagement with her clients built over decades and continues to foster strong long-term relationships with new clients by adopting an accessible and responsive approach to their needs. Key skills include the evaluation of financial processes and procedures, review of governance arrangements in organisations and analysis of financial information.
A keen sports person, Helena competed competitively in her earlier years in various disciplines winning All-Ireland medals in athletics and table tennis. In latter years she is happily resigned to watching her three children from the side-line. As a member of her local GAA club Ballinteer St. Johns, she has managed/trained the club’s girls football team from U8 to minor level.
