John is a partner in the firm’s tax department. A member of the Irish Taxation Institute, John has 26 years’ professional experience, and acts as taxation partner on a broad range of the firm’s clients, including high-net-worth individuals and small- and medium-sized companies. He provides advice on personal and corporate tax issues for companies and their shareholders. In addition he routinely provides advice across all taxation heads including VAT, payroll taxes, expatriate issues and stamp duty.
Corporate tax advice
Over the last number of years John has focused on Irish companies expanding their operations abroad and on international companies setting up in Ireland and has provided advice on both the strategic and practical tax issues faced by such companies and their employees. John also has significant experience in providing taxation advice to Irish family-owned companies and foreign companies (primarily from the US and the UK) operating in Ireland.
John has expertise in advising clients both in advance of and during the course of Revenue Audits and negotiates directly with Revenue on issues arising on personal tax, corporate tax, payroll taxes and VAT.
