George is a partner in the firm’s audit department. A Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, with an accounting experience that spans over two and a half decades, covering a variety of sectors including property development, construction, professional firms, pension funds, and government funded bodies. During his career to date, George has provided both strategic and operational advice and guidance to over 100 clients in Ireland. He is also a member of the firm’s Public Private Partnership unit.
Audit and accountancy
Since joining the firm in 1998, George has practised in the Audit Department. He is the Lead Client Partner for a range of audit, assurance and general tax and accountancy advisory services. George’s portfolio of clients include a wide variety of construction industry clients, owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organisations. George has worked with construction clients throughout his career, from trainee to partner, and has developed a deep understanding of the construction industry.
Risk management and internal audit
As a key member of the senior management team, George is responsible for the regulatory compliance of the firm together with operational risk management. In addition, George is a member of the Audit Committee of South Dublin County Council, and previously served as Chair of the Committee for three years.
Forensic accounting
George leads the forensic accounting business unit. He has completed a Diploma in Forensic Accounting and is the firm’s Forensic Accounting Partner. He has prepared expert witness reports for cases ranging from arbitration hearings to High Court cases. He is also a Member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners.
