Ryosuke (Roy) is a senior manager in TRUSTA’s tax department and serves as the firm’s Japanese clientele services liaison manager. He has over thirteen years of public accountancy experience with emphasis in nonresident individual, domestic and foreign corporate and estate taxation, and cross-border accounting, business and financial matters.

He received his Master of Accounting degree from the School of Accountancy, University of Hawaii and his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Yokohama National University. Prior to joining the firm, Roy was a manager for the Capital Markets Division of the JP Morgan Chase in New York and Tokyo and Societe Generale in Tokyo, where he gained the confidence and respect of Japan’s leading multinational companies such as Mitsubishi, Mitsui, Panasonic and Toyota. He is a native of Tokyo, Japan and fluent in Japanese.

Roy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants and its Personal Financial Planning Committee, the Hawaii Nippon Club, supporting member of Japan Cultural Center of Hawaii. He served as a director of The Hawaii Japanese School from 2007-2011.
