On November 1st, a Decision on extended application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Trade has entered into force.
This decision extends the application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to all employers registered under the National Classification of Business Activities for:
- Wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles, and the repair of motor vehicles
- Wholesale trade, excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles
- Retail trade, excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles
Employers engaged in activities classified under sections G 45.20, 47.73, and 47.74 of the National Classification of Business Activities are excluded from the extended application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
What does the new Collective Bargaining Agreement mean for employees and employers?
- A minimum salary is determined based on the category of job complexity,
- Percentages of increasement in basic salary for work under certain conditions are defined (e.g., night work, Sunday work, overtime work, etc.),
- Weekly working hours are distributed over six days, unless the employer decides otherwise,
- Redistributed working hours in a period that lasts longer than full-time or part-time can last up to 6 months,
- Redistributed working hours during a period longer than full-time can reach a maximum of 56 hours per week, or 60 hours per week if the employer operates seasonally,
- Employees can have up to 250 hours of overtime work in a calendar year,
- Employers are obliged to pay a special bonus of at least 135.00 EUR by December 20th of the current year,
- Employers are obliged to pay compensation for endured fear in a minimum gross amount of 135.00 EUR,
- Right to a jubilee award for continuous service with the same employer,
- Right to severance payment in case of retirement,
- Obligation to pay compensation for the use of a private vehicle for business travels, etc.
