2023 Crowe Healthcare Summit workshops

This year we introduced workshops, a new and improved version of the traditional boot camp sessions that offer a more active and collaborative approach. Workshops are highly engaging, hands-on learning experiences rather than lecture-based sessions.

If you registered for the 2023 workshops, you’ll be able to access session presentations and recordings in your virtual lobby until December 21, 2023, 90 days after the Healthcare Summit end date. Please note that the recordings are not eligible for CPE.

This session will focus on navigating and working within the automated reconciliation tool.

10-11 a.m. | Crowe RCA: Ad Hoc Reporting Module and Tableau: Introduction | Workshop ($100)

Web livestream (1.0 CPE hours)

This course will provide a brief overview of the ad hoc module. The first part of the course will cover the data elements and extracts that flow from Crowe Revenue Cycle Analytics. The remaining half of the course will include a step-by-step walk-through of building meaningful reports and dashboards to help drive analytics. The course is designed for clients who are interested in learning more about the ad hoc reporting capabilities or those clients who have the ad hoc module and would like an introduction to the concepts.

1-5 p.m. | Crowe RCA: Understanding Key Concepts | Workshop ($350)

Participants will walk away with a baseline understanding of key principles and methodology. The course was designed for individuals who either are new to the Crowe RCA application or would like a refresher on defining key concepts.

This session will focus on maximizing the benefits from the Crowe Automated Reconciliation tool.

10 a.m.-noon | Crowe RCA: Ad Hoc Reporting Module and Tableau: Intermediate | Workshop ($200)

Web livestream (2.0 CPE hours)

This course will largely consist of a hands-on, step-by-step walk-through of building meaningful reports and dashboards utilizing the Crowe RCA solution extracts. Participants will walk away with the ability to expand on the examples in the course and be able to leverage Tableau to help drive analytics and share the reports and dashboards with others in the organization.

1-5 p.m. | Crowe RCA: Executing Month-End Close | Workshop ($350)

Participants will walk away with the ability to navigate the steps of month-end close. This course will focus on the month-end close workflow and will not dive into Crowe RCA definitions and concepts. The course was designed for new or inexperienced users who want to learn how to navigate the close process.

1-5 p.m. | Crowe RCA: Creating Information and Insight Out of Data | Workshop ($500)

The Crowe RCA application houses a significant amount of data, but leveraging the data to create information needed to answer important questions about your business can be challenge. In this course, we'll discuss the underlying data elements housed within the application and examples of ad hoc questions you can answer with data directly from Crowe RCA.

10 a.m.-noon | Crowe RCA: Performing a Reserve Model Wellness Check | Workshop ($200)

The healthcare industry is constantly evolving, and your accounts receivable reserve model should evolve with it. Reserve models require maintenance and regular testing to verify that you're addressing any underlying risk in the accounts receivable valuation and that you're reacting appropriately and in a timely manner to meaningful changes in your net revenue performance. In this course, we'll discuss approaches for assessing the health of your reserve model.

10 a.m.-noon | Crowe RCA: Maximizing Crowe RCA for Physicians Through Close, Reporting, and Functionality | Workshop ($200)

The key focus of this session is on Crowe RCA modules, reports, tools, and processes that will enhance the overall physician environment experience. Participants will learn about data files and elements, month-end pre-close and close processes, reporting to use for close and analysis, and how to take advantage of certain functionality within the tool.

1-3 p.m. | Crowe RCA: Analyzing Change in Prior-Period Estimates | Workshop ($250)

Change in prior-period estimates often can be difficult to explain, primarily when drilling down into specific themes that tend to be affected by small changes in prior (CIPs) at the account level across a large volume of accounts. The primary focus of this session will be highlighting subthemes within the time of payment and time of billing CIP themes. Examples and drivers of other CIP themes also will be included. This session is intended for those looking to dive a layer deeper into CIPs. Note that not all CIPs will be covered in this session as the focus is on drilling into themes that tend to be the most challenging to explain.

3-5 p.m. | Net Revenue: Developing a Meaningful Narrative Using the Custom Net Revenue Package from Crowe | Workshop ($250)

Crowe offers a customized net revenue reporting package that provides trended balance sheet and income statement data broken out by volume, rate, mix, and change in prior-period estimates. The reporting package offers 13 months of trended data and calculates comparisons against trailing averages and budget data. This session will focus on a number of examples of pairing data points to support and explain the key net revenue drivers for the month-end period.
