Statutory audits
Experienced audit teams carry out our audits in the real estate sector.
We examine annual, consolidated and interim financial statements as
well as the underlying accounts for investment companies and real
estate companies in accordance with standards governing German
commercial law and international accounting and auditing standards.
Statutory audits carried out by our teams are planned carefully,
performed systematically and tailored individually to your
requirements. We align all of our activities in such a way as to ensure
smooth statutory audits without any unpleasant surprises.
Supervisory assessments / Assessments based on investment law
For the purpose of accounting based on investment law, capital management companies (KVG) are obliged to determine the value of participations held in real estate companies for the account of dependent real estate special assets (ongoing valuation). Furthermore, the value of a real estate company must be determined before a capital management company acquires a stake in it (pre-purchase valuation). We avail of many years of experience in efficiently carrying out acquisition and follow-up assessments of real estate companies for open and closed real estate funds according to section 236, paragraph 1 and 248, paragraph 4 of KAGB.
Real estate-specific and general special audits
Owing to supervisory or legal investment provisions, companies may be obliged to prepare additional final accounting elements and have them examined or subjected to a compliance audit. Examining asset statements by real estate companies in accordance with section 249, paragraph 2 KAGB as well as audits according to section 16 of the German Broker and Property Developer Ordinance (MaBV) as well as classic financial statements form part of our auditing services.
Audit-related consulting
We support you in drawing up assessment guidelines in accordance with KAGB and general concepts in line with section 31, paragraph 3 KARBV. We also offer audit-related consulting for real estate-specific financial reporting/accounting topics, in particular according to IFRS (incl. IAS 40, IAS 17) and HGB.
