Deferral of social security contributions 

The umbrella organisation of the statutory health insurance (GKV-SV) has announced by notification of March 25 2020 that social security contributions for months March and April 2020 can be deferred interest-free in order to support companies affected by the Corona crisis. These contributions have to be paid on the due date for the contributions for May 2020 (27th May 2020). In addition, no late payment surcharges or fees will be levied for the above-mentioned period. An extension of this measure is not planned for the time being.
