COVID – Uncovered Costs II – applications until September

We have already informed you about the first call in our previous article as well as on our webinar. Applications for the decisive period January 2021 to March 2021 could be submitted until 19 July, which our clients successfully fulfilled.

It continues to be the case that all businesses, regardless of sector, can apply for 60% of the uncovered costs for the decisive period, or 40% of the uncovered costs for businesses with state or local government ownership. If the entrepreneurs applied for support from the COVID – Uncovered Costs programme in the first call, no new registration is required, the applicant’s identification data will be used and the application will be simplified.

All entrepreneurs whose turnover has fallen by at least 50% in the decisive period compared to the same period in 2019 can apply for the subsidy. For the second call, the decisive period, i.e. the period for which support can be drawn is 1 April 2021 to 31 May 2021. If an applicant meets the turnover condition for April only, they can only apply for this period. The applicant’s economic performance will again be demonstrated by a profit and loss account based on the interim accounts for the relevant period.

For both months, a single applicant can receive support up to a maximum of CZK 25 million in total. If the decisive period is only April, the maximum amount of subsidy per applicant is CZK 15 million.

When submitting the application, the applicant must indicate the subsidy that has already been granted and the expected covid subsidy for the overlapping decisive period. This applies, inter alia, to the Antivirus programme. In case the application is approved and the applicant has drawn also a compensatory bonus in the past, he is obliged to refund the corresponding part of the subsidy. In contrast, a combination is possible with the already terminated COVID – 2021 programme.
