David Silber is a partner at Crowe Soberman. David has acquired diverse expertise through many years of experience in accounting, personal and corporate tax planning and compliance, and business advising. David acts as a business advisor to many of his clients, who value his insights and attention to detail. Not only does David focus on each client’s long-term financial goals, but he also seeks to understand each client’s personal needs. David routinely advises high-net worth and entrepreneurial individuals, as well as privately held corporations on their business planning and day-to-day decision making.

As a trusted advisor, David can be relied on to be involved in all the intricate details of his clients’ daily challenges and offer creative solutions and sound advice. He is often invited to visit his clients’ business ventures so that he can provide accurate advice and is frequently requested to attend management meetings for an insightful point of view.

In addition, David's interest in sports has made him a natural choice for many professional athletes. He is a valued member of the firm’s Sports & Entertainment Group. David enjoys providing athletes, who are often times new to Canada and the Canadian tax system, with guidance on how to meet their compliance requirements and structure their affairs in the most favourable manner possible. One highlight of this practice area has been his opportunity to attend the NHL draft and to enjoy a unique social opportunity with some of his clients.

When he is not advising clients, David enjoys spending time with his family, coaching hockey and being an active part of the community. David is on the Board of the Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation.
