Alice Madolciu
CPA, CA

Alice Madolciu is a Partner in Crowe Soberman’s entertainment tax practice. She started at the firm as a co-op student and worked in the firm’s audit and assurance practice before transferring to the tax group early in her career. Currently, Alice works in many aspects of the group’s international and domestic tax practices, with a focus on cross-border tax in the firm’s Sports and Entertainment group.

Alice provides tax planning, personal and corporate tax compliance services to Canadian and international clients doing business in Canada, from various backgrounds and industry sectors.

She co-leads the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Group, providing tax services to musicians, actors and entertainers, behind-the scenes personnel, including touring crews, film directors and producers, foreign corporations operating in Canada, and individuals immigrating to and emigrating from Canada.

An advocate for environmental protection and sustainability, Alice presently sits on the directorial board of Planet in Focus (an organization that raises public awareness of environmental issues through film) and previously sat on the board of directors for GreenPAC (a non-partisan organization that promotes environmental leadership in Canadian politics).

Alice has been an ongoing participant in the annual tax clinics put on by CPA Canada, providing free tax counsel and preparation of income tax returns to low-income individuals in the Greater Toronto Area.

She contributes to the firm’s tax publications and writes articles, blogs, and infographics for the firm’s Sports and Entertainment group.

As a graduate of the University of Waterloo, Alice received her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Chartered Accountancy Studies and has completed all three parts of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course, and International Tax In-Depth Course.
