I began my journey with Crowe in September 1998 as a brand new student with absolutely no experience, no children, and no grey hair. Today, I am a partner, have four children, and grey hair that I cover! I have vivid memories of my first day and while I was nervous I remember feeling excited and really fortunate to be part of this team. I have been surrounded by partners and professionals that are great examples of our core values – we care, we share, we invest, we grow. They are dedicated to their clients, their community, the team, the firm, and their profession. As a student, there was always someone to answer my questions and take the time to sit at my desk and go through concepts. Doors were always open and I was always welcome. I believe Kelowna was an office of approximately 25 when I started and now we are an office of 75! To this day there is always someone to answer questions, review concepts, and the doors are still open. Throughout my career, I have felt supported to achieve my professional goals and challenged to learn the craft, work hard, and focus on my strengths. There has always been a commitment to professional development, including our firm’s student and professionals conference, with content which is relevant and practical. We are committed to growth, business development, and to give our team experience that is challenging. This allows us to attract and retain strong professionals that are engaged in the business of professional services. There has been many changes in the 20 years I have been with the firm, however the important things have not changed, and I look forward to the next 20 years.
