For the third consecutive year, Crowe MacKay’s Kelowna office has been voted Best Accounting Firm in the Best of Kelowna awards. Crowe MacKay Partner, Lynn Wong, was also this year’s Gold winner of Best Accountant in Kelowna for the second consecutive year, with Kelowna Partner Nicole Kirubi winning Silver. Crowe MacKay’s Kelowna office is proud to have been voted Best Accounting Firm in the 2023 Best of Kelowna awards. This is the third consecutive year the office has been awarded this title. Dave shares that the team has “participated in local volunteer initiatives such as food and winter clothing drives, harvested vegetables, and participated in educational programs such as Project Literacy.“ Throughout 2023, they’ve proudly donated $88,711 to local community groups and organizations. Kelowna’s partnership also encourages team members to utilize Crowe MacKay’s Employee Volunteer Program, which provides staff eight hours of paid time to volunteer with groups and organizations that interest them. As leaders dedicated to giving back, our Kelowna office is an exceptional example of living our core values.

Trusted Advisors Voted Best Accountant in Kelowna

Lynn Wong and Nicole Kirubi are proudly recognized as the Best of Kelowna, earning Gold & Silver placement respectively in the Best Accountant category.

Lynn has 20 years of experience in accounting and advisory services. In January 2013, she became a Partner in the Crowe MacKay LLP client services group. Lynn’s focus is on providing accounting and audit services to privately held businesses in a wide range of sectors, specializing in professionals and not for profit organizations. She provides one-on-one services to her clients, getting to know them and their needs. With Lynn’s strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to seeing her clients succeed, her clients know they are in good hands and trust her to always get the job done. Lynn sits on Crowe MacKay’s Executive and Compensation Committees. Outside the office, she takes pride in being involved in her community. Lynn’s been an active member of The Kelowna Minor Hockey Association, Morningside Rotary Club, and The Women’s Leadership Network.

Nicole joined Crowe MacKay in May 2007 and was voted into the partnership in January 2023. She enjoys working with a diverse group of clients to meet their financial reporting and tax compliance needs. With an emphasis on advisory services, Nicole is committed to providing clients with individualized planning to accomplish their financial goals. Her primary focus has been working in assurance and client services with owner-managed businesses. Nicole sits on the Crowe MacKay’s CSR Committee and is also the Chair of Kelowna’s Growth Committee. When it comes to giving back to the community, Nicole is a huge advocate within the office. From championing Crowe MacKay’s Pinnacle Women’s Leadership Series, to her involvement in the Watson Road Elementary Playground Enhancement Committee, it is clear that giving back to her community is an important pillar to her practice.

Lynn Wong and Nicole Kirubi value their client relationships and providing trusted advice. Lynn proudly shares that “it’s truly gratifying to know that we've played a role in helping individuals achieve their goals.” In building strong connections with their clients, they are able to provide guidance to make smart decisions that create lasting value. “Having a well-rounded understanding of our clients allows us to approach their businesses as if they are our own, allowing us to be their trusted advisor,” says Nicole.
