John has been in public practice for over 38 years. He assists clients in audit, accounting, income tax, and consulting. He provides consulting on projects such as: accounting operations; developing and delivering training courses; conducting program evaluations in collaboration with a credentialed evaluator; assisting with budget development and monitoring; assisting with implementation of accounting systems; general tax; and operational advice. His special consulting engagements include evaluation, review and implementation of systems, controls review, and ensuring efficiency and economy in operations. He is responsible for a number of large and complex audits in private and public sectors.
John was the Director of Government Accounting for the Government of the Northwest Territories from 1993 to 1995 where he was responsible for financial reporting and financial operations. From 1986 to 1993, John served as First Vice President, Finance, at the Arctic College, where he established all the necessary corporate and management systems.
