Alena Christie

Alena joined Crowe MacKay LLP in June 2016 as the firm‑wide Human Resources Manager, where she leads the strategic development of the firm’s human resources function across northern and western Canada. She plays a key role in shaping a strong, people‑focused culture that supports the firm’s continued growth and long‑term success.

Alena oversees all core areas of human resources, including recruitment and selection, strategic workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, mentorship, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Her collaborative and proactive approach ensures that Crowe MacKay’s HR practices evolve alongside the firm, helping to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

With more than 10 years of experience in both an international accounting and advisory firm and high‑growth industry environments, Alena brings a diverse background spanning engineering, business accelerators, service industries, and professional services. She is actively involved in the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Resources, and Joint Health & Safety committees, as well as the Diversity & Inclusion Council, reflecting her commitment to building an inclusive, engaged, and forward‑thinking workplace.
