Crowe BGK is proud to welcome Michael Derai, CPA, CA, to its partnership. Michael will co-lead the Advisory Services practice alongside Mickael Marchand.

Michael has over 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business and capital advisory. He joined the corporate finance group of a national accounting firm after obtaining his CPA designation, where he developed his expertise in transactions primarily for mid-market and family-owned businesses.

In 2014 Michael joined Roynat Capital, the merchant banking subsidiary of Scotiabank, eventually leading its operations throughout Québec. He oversaw three teams of professionals responsible for the origination, execution and ongoing management of senior and junior debt transactions primarily in the context of acquisitions, expansion projects and recapitalizations.

His practice focuses on intimately supporting both entrepreneurs and financial investors in key business and strategic events such as acquisitions, capital raises, financing, divestitures and succession planning. Michael excels at identifying and addressing key issues in order to obtain desired outcomes for all stakeholders. He has experience in a range of industries including consumer products, telecommunications, transportation, distribution, healthcare and technology.

Michael’s expertise will further contribute to the continued growth of the Advisory Services department since its formation close to 3 years ago. Please join us in welcoming Michael to Crowe BGK.
