Louis Ruta

Louis Ruta, CPA auditor joined Crowe BGK as a manager in 1989 and was admitted to the partnership in 1995. In 2000 he was elected as the youngest member of the firms’ Management Committee where he served for 5 years until he was elected as the firm’s Managing Partner from 2004 to 2014. His term in that role was characterized by considerable efforts to expand the firm and renew its focus on client service. Choosing to give up his responsibilities of Managing Partner, he was re-elected to the firm’s Management Committee for a two-year period where he subsequently took on the current role of International Liaison Partner.

In addition to having participated in the Management of Crowe BGK, Louis also services a large and diverse range of clients who he enjoys meeting frequently to develop productive and cost-efficient operations by preparing and reviewing financial information and analyzing performance to budget, to history as well as to industry trends and their impact on their businesses. Often, he is a key participant and contributor in their major decision-making process. He is called upon to prepare projections and financing packages in conjunction with their bankers, government agencies, and investors. With a substantial background in business turnarounds, Louis is often called upon to assist companies in financial crises. He also has expertise in sourcing and obtaining financing for them along with negotiating on their behalf.

As a major part of his client-centric philosophy, Louis was instrumental in the firm becoming a member of Crowe Global, ranked among the top 9 global accounting networks. Today, he serves as the firm’s International Liaison Partner to Crowe Global. This important role allows him to go further to serve the firm’s clients by providing access to considerable international expertise through our international network. He continues to maintain strong relationships with various Crowe Global professionals around the world.

When Louis is not participating in client service, he is spending quality time with his wonderful wife, his three amazing children and their dog “Smokey” (the real boss of their family).
