CENTRAL BANK OF ARMENIA RAISED REFINANCING RATE FROM 7.75% TO 8%

The Central Bank of Armenia raised the refinancing rate by 0.25 percentage points, setting it at 8%. The press service of the regulator said that decision was made at a meeting of the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia.

According to the message of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia the rates on Lombard repo facility rate was also increased – from 9.25% to 9.5%, and Deposit facility rate – from 6.25% to 6.5%.

It is worth noting that from 2021 to this day, this is the seventh increase in the refinancing rate – in total from 5.25% to 8%.
