A new draft law has been proposed to amend the Criminal Code of Armenia to strengthen the oversight of the "Law on Regulation of Gambling Activities." This amendment introduces Article 296.1, which prohibits the use of IP address changes, providing bank accounts, and other methods to circumvent gambling regulations. The provision also penalizes individuals for allowing their bank accounts to be used by others for gambling purposes.
Violations will be punishable by fines, community service, or imprisonment for up to two years. This amendment will take effect upon the full implementation of the gambling regulation law.
