The Unified Guide for the GCC Authorized Economic Operator Program (GCC AEO) was recently released providing a structure of the basic aspects of a GCC AEO.
GCC AEO Program
The GCC AEO program allows eligible traders to partner with Customs Authorities and private sectors in the program recognized across the following GCC countries:
- UAE
- KSA
- Oman
- Bahrain
- Qatar
- Kuwait

Additional local advantages and incentives may be granted by respective countries.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any customs-registered business meeting the below criteria:
- With proper record of customs compliance for a period of at least 3 years.
- With record management system for internal control
- Financially solvent
- With security and risk assessment system in accordance with the SAFE Framework
Application procedures
- Submit Application Form with required documents
- Accomplish Self-evaluation Form
- Risk Assessment by the Customs Authority
- Verification and validation process via on-site visit by the Customs Authority.
