Non-profit organizations (hereafter, NPO) are of vital importance when providing certain social services that have a positive impact on the Principality of Andorra and the international places where they can function to generate revenue and/or awareness in the interest of a certain purpose or mission.
Notwithstanding the above, these entities may be vulnerable to being used to finance terrorist activities, putting their actions at risk.
On July 8th, the Andorran Financial Intelligence Unit (UIFAND) issued an Information Note addressed to NPOs to provide guidelines and good practices to fight against terrorist financing activities.
