At Crowe, our values guide our work. We all are stewards of tomorrow, and we’re committed to caring for our people, our clients, our communities, and our environment. Our firm is consistently working toward progress, instilling trust, and communicating our goals and our plans to meet them.
Being sustainable means that we collectively make choices today that will allow us all to thrive now – and in the future. Those choices touch every area of our business, including our people, our clients, our communities, and our environment.
Creating an exceptional people experience in which our team can thrive also enables us to provide excellent client service. As we continue to grow, we remain dedicated to understanding the material social and environmental impacts of our business and focusing our investments to help our firm prepare for the future.
Our impact on the communities where we live, work, and play comes to life in a variety of ways, including our commitment to three of the United Nations (U.N.) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and through supporting the passions of our people.
At Crowe, our people are our most important priority. That’s why we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment that prioritizes their physical and mental well-being, as well as their career development, with a deep commitment to DE&I.
Our environmental impact is a direct result of our purchasing power. We’re committed to understanding the greenhouse gas emissions footprint of our work while intentionally aligning our goods and services purchases with our values and sustainability goals.
We’re a proud signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The UNGC is a call for companies to align strategies and operations with 10 universal principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption and to take actions that advance societal and environmental goals.
The UNGC’s multiyear strategy is to prompt business awareness and action in support of achieving 17 SDGs by the year 2030. We have intentionally selected three SDGs as focus areas for our firm: good health and well-being, reduced inequalities, and responsible consumption and production. These SDGs align to some of our current efforts – and, in fact, we are already making progress. Take a look at some of our success stories.

We’re working on progress toward SDG indicator 3.4.2, focusing on mental health, through our participation in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, for which Crowe CEO Mark Baer serves as a member of the national board. Additionally, our family-forming benefits, including adoption assistance, fertility benefits, and caregiver leave, align to SDG indicator 3.7.1, which covers universal access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services.

Specifically, we’re making great progress on SDG target 10.2, which covers social, economic, and political inclusion of all.* To help increase diversity and the talent pipeline in our profession, Crowe has established significant endowments to fund scholarships for accounting students at two historically Black colleges and universities. Internally, our Lift As We Climb forums connect Latina and Black female professionals to Latina and Black female partners who provide coaching and mentoring. And our nine business resource groups provide a way for our people to connect with and support each other, find community, and promote inclusion.
